The incomparable Jennings and his friend darbishire are at it again! Earnestly doing their well-meant best for the school - but leaving havoc in their wake! The cause of the trouble is really Sherlock Holmes! For he is the inspiration for Jennings' "Detective Agency," and it is his noble example which Jennings tried to follow - with rather disastrous results. However, glory is bound to come at last, even to two such ill-fated amateur detectives. When the discovery is made that the Sports Cups have disappeared and the staff are prostrate at the thought of that illustrious "old boy," General merridew, arriving to present a trophy which is no longer there to present, Jennings, the detective, and Darbishire his not always intrepid assistant, have their big chance...
