Blue cloth, gilt title to spine. Colour frontis. B/w illustrations. William Earle was Johns' pseudonym. The first published Biggles book. Spine is very faded and browned with marks. Corners are bumped and worn. Front cover is bowed. Grubby marks and some white marks to covers, with a couple of small sticky marks to rear cover.
